Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Question - If I buy 4 units of craft fabric will it come on one piece?
Answer  -  We supply the length ordered in one piece i.e. 2 metres in this case.

  2. Question -  How wide is the craft fabric?
Answer  -   Unless stated otherwise our craft cotton fabric is approximately 112cm or 44 inches wide.

  3. Question - What is a Fat Quarter?
Answer   -  There are two different fat quarters - Fat Quarter yards and Fat Quarter metres. The fat quarters in our Fat Quarter packs are Fat Quarter Metres and are approx 50 x 56cm or 19 " x 22" and are about 10 per cent larger than a fat quarter yard. A Fat Quarter Metre is half a metre cut off the bolt of fabric and that piece is then halved again by cutting along the central fold giving a fatter shape but still equivalent in area to a quarter of a metre off the bolt.

  4. Question - How long will it take for my order to come?
Answer  -  We aim to turn your order round as quickly and efficiently as possible. Orders received by 12 noon on a week day will normally be sent out the same day. Orders received by 9 am on a Saturday will normally catch the last post that day which is 12.30 pm. Packets will be sent by first class Royal Mail and should reach UK addresses within a couple of working days. A few items we sell are too large for first class post and orders including such goods will be sent by parcel post. These longer length items are clearly marked on the details within the shopping cart. We advise you by e-mail of how your order has been sent when we send it off.

  5. Question -  I live outside the UK and it seems very cheap only having a 2.50 flat charge for sending my goods to me?
Answer - The 2.50 is a default amount for orders outside the UK or any order under 20 within the UK. The cost of sending goods outside the UK will be charged to you at cost but the 2.50 will form part of that payment. If the airmail charge comes to say 6.50 an additional 4.00 would be added to your payment.

  6. Question - Why don't you send out sample cataloques of your fabrics?
Answer  -  We are an internet shop and have spent a great deal of time trying to get the images on site as representative and true as possible. Our craft fabric stock is ever-changing and we try to keep our catalogue as up to date as possible. New items are being added all the time.
